Why yes we are gluttons for punishment and have plunged head first into our second retreat.
We were so pleased with the response and feedback from our first weekend that we had started planning the second before we had checked out of the hotel. As most things go though it has taken a few weeks to finalise the plans.

For those that didn’t attend in 2015 and are interested in what it was all about we thought it would be nice to give you a little taster. Our original post shares with you our hopes of what our first retreat would bring and for 2016 there are just a few little changes.
This is obviously as a little teasers ahead of any possible* tickets going on sale shortly! (*they definitely are, soon…).

Our intention for the weekend is for people to come along, sew their own projects (in some cases MANY MANY project, in others – like mine not so many/NONE), relax, chat with friends old and new, eat and drink too much and maybe chill in the spa if that takes your fancy, Mostly thought we want people to have FUN.
We never wanted the weekends retreat to be a full session of classes. This year we did have on hand some great people with sewing skills to share in our relaxed and informal drop in sessions. They were all very popular and worked really well but the overwhelming feeling was stick to our guns and keep it simple.
So in 2016 we will run the same times, Friday midday through to Sunday mid afternoon of the weekend 30th September – 2nd October. Giving people chance to get there Friday and have time to get home before it’s too dark Sunday evening.
With the main aim of the weekend to bring your projects, sewing machines and enthusiasm and enjoy a weekend away with like minded folk.
We will once again be offering a payment plan or for those wanting to pay in full, a little incentive of a shop voucher – this time to be used at anytime throughout the year online or in-store.
Of course we may have a little guest or two to share some infinite quilty wisdom with us all, and of course we hope to bring you lots of goodies and treats throughout the weekend.
So watch out for news of the tickets being released very soon and check out our round up of 2015 if you’d like to see what we got up to!

The official hashtag for the new retreat will be: #SimplySewIn2016
